The development of 36 ministerial houses in the new capital city (IKN) Nusantara has reached 87 percent completion and will be ready in July, according to Public Works and Public Housing Minister Basuki Hadimuljono.
"The completion rate is at 87 percent, and all of the 36 houses will be ready by July," he remarked while inspecting his official residence at the IKN's Government Core Area (KIPP), East Kalimantan Province, on Tuesday.
Hadimuljono underlined that the government had been prioritizing the use of domestic products and materials for constructing the 36 official houses that host two floors and four bedrooms each in a bid to support the implementation of the domestic level component (TKDN) program.
"We are using imported materials and products only for the smart home system," he added.
The minister further remarked that 6,600-watt solar power plants would ensure sufficient supply of electricity to all of the ministerial houses.

He then assured that water reservoirs located at the KIPP would provide adequate supply of water to the houses while noting that the water supplied from the reservoirs is drinkable.
Earlier, on Monday (May 6), Hadimuljono revealed that construction of the State Palace and Presidential Office in Nusantara had reached the stage of interior architectural works.
"The palace is 67 percent complete and will be ready by June. Currently, we are working on its interior, carving, and others. Meanwhile, the completion of the Presidential Office has crossed 80 percent. God Willing, both structures will complete their development by June," he remarked.
He also noted that the interior designs for the State Palace and Presidential Office draw inspirations from national art styles, including lamps and carvings originated from West Nusa Tenggara and Boyolali.
