Badung, Bali (ANTARA) - The National Police's Head of Security Maintenance Agency, Commander General Fadil Imran, stated that there were no restrictions on tourist activities around the Nusa Dua area during the 10th World Water Forum (WWF).

"We do not carry out restrictions, just an arrangement so that the conference and anything else can run normally, and the public and tourists can also enjoy (the area)," he said during a pre-operation exercise here on Sunday.

He explained that to facilitate the international forum that will be attended by heads of state/government and high-ranking officials, the police needs to safeguard and regulate the event venue around Nusa Dua.

Nevertheless, the public comfort and tourists in the area is also a major concern for the Police and other stakeholders.

Imran said that his side will carry out arrangements at the Bali International Convention Center (BICC) in Nusa Dua. Meanwhile, access in and out of tourist attractions in South Nusa Dua continues to run as usual.

Meanwhile, in order to realize smooth traffic around Nusa Dua, he said that the National Police is still coordinating with the Bali Provincial Government, whether the schools in the area should carry out distance learning.

"To reduce the volume of vehicles and the frequency of people's movement, we also held a discussion related to work from home and online learning. We will coordinate about this," he said.

He also asked for support from Balinese people to make the 10th World Water Forum, which will be held in a week, a successful event.

"We ask for Balinese' support by being a good host so that this activity can run smoothly and safely. It is an honor hat Bali hosted international events on several occasions," he said.
