Jakarta (ANTARA) - Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives (DPR RI) Rachmad Gobel highlighted the roles of national parliaments in enhancing global water management for people's well-being through the 10th World Water Forum.

Gobel explained that the DPR RI will host the Parliamentary Meeting of the 10th World Water Forum on May 19-21, 2024. The meeting will involve various parties and will take place at the bilateral, regional, and international levels.

"As the host of the meeting, DPR RI is focused on ensuring the agenda's success from the organization to the (agenda) substances to strengthen water management for the people's prosperity," Gobel noted as per the statement received here on Wednesday.

The deputy speaker's remarks were conveyed at the plenary session of the sitting period V of the 2023-2024 parliamentary session year at the Parliament Complex here on Tuesday (May 14).

Their participation will also ensure the success of the 10th World Water Forum, the deputy speaker added.
