The minister has also said that the alleged intimidation of Deputy Attorney General for Special Crimes, Febrie Ardiansyah, by a police unit has not been proved.
"Perhaps it was a mere hearsay, but for sure, the current condition is fine, nothing happens," Tjahjanto assured at his ministry's office here on Monday.
The minister assured that he will take prompt action with the chief of police (Polri), General Listyo Sigit Prabowo, and Attorney General ST Burhanuddin directly if anything happens between the two agencies.
"I will speak to both of them. The most important is that residents will have their trust in the two institutions maintained. Nothing happens, and everything is okay," he emphasized.
Tjahjanto said he has a direct communication line with Prabowo and Burhanuddin and is communicating and meeting with the two agency chiefs regularly.
"Every time, even at night, we can just directly contact each other to discuss general issues of our country. Everything is fine," he added.
The minister also described the military police's presence at the AGO headquarters in South Jakarta and the provision of security details to AGO officials as normal and permitted by law.
"Some military officers assigned there because the AGO have a deputy attorney general on military crimes ... the law was passed when I served as the military commander," Tjahjanto added.
Earlier, reports had surfaced about Deputy Attorney General Ardiansyah being stalked by some officers from police anti-terrorism unit Special Detachment 88 at a restaurant in South Jakarta on May 24.
The police chief and the attorney general did not provide any clarifications on the rumor to the media.
Amid the rumor, the two officials were seen interacting amicably at the launch of government technology platform INA Digital at the State Palace on Monday morning.
