We expect that JERAMI can motivate and give solution to regions to resolve issues faced when carrying out immunization program and data input.
Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Health Ministry is hosting "Friday with ASIK Immunization" (JERAMI) to promote routine recording of data on the Sehat Indonesiaku Application (ASIK) as part of a push to improve the routine immunization rate this year.

In a statement received here on Wednesday, the ministry's director for immunization, Prima Yosephine, said that the recording of immunization services through the app was kicked off in 2023. She added that the app allows individuals to access their immunization data quickly, in real-time.

She informed said that as per ASIK, as of the third week of June 2024, complete infant immunization coverage reached just 20 percent, complete toddler (under three) immunization 15.7 percent, and new antigen immunization (PCV2) 16.3 percent.

Further, tetanus immunization (T2+) reached 8.4 percent, she added. According to her, all those statistics are below the target of 50 percent set for the first half (first six months) of 2024.

Hence, she said, all immunization personnel at public health centers and integrated health posts are being encouraged to provide better services and record all immunization data routinely through the ASIK mobile app.

Through the app, all those who have received immunizations can see the data on all the shots they have received, and all health personnel can access the data of the services and immunization coverage in their respective regions, she added.

"We expect that JERAMI can motivate and give solution to regions to resolve issues faced when carrying out immunization program and data input, so that the current immunization progress can be well-recorded and reported consistently on ASIK in real time," she said.

To motivate the regions, she added, every month, 50 public health centers with the best immunization data input and achievements indicators are awarded a certificate signed by the director general of disease prevention and control.

Furthermore, every 2 months, 10 of the 50 centers are selected for an award from the Health Minister. The awardees are invited to Jakarta to receive a certificate signed by the minister.
