Secretary of the Cianjur Housing and Land Areas Office, Hendry Prasetyadi, said here on Monday that the assistance will be distributed directly to survivors who have completed the paperwork.
"This week, Rp550 billion fund from the BNPB will be sent to the Cianjur BPBD (regional disaster mitigation agency) for survivors whose houses have light and moderate damage," he informed.
Prasetyadi said that to make it easier to disburse the aid, his office has asked survivors to complete the necessary paperwork, including required documents so that they would not have to wait long for the assistance.
For Phase IV assistance, applications for 36,285 damaged homes were submitted to BNPB, comprising 4,457 houses with severe damage, 4,092 homes with moderate damage, and 26,916 units with light damage.
For houses that were severely damaged, aid was symbolically disbursed for 1,194 homes.
"For survivors that are listed in the decree on Phase IV stimulant assistance beneficiaries, they must immediately renovate their house. Those who do not have the money can submit a reimbursement claim," he said.
Meanwhile, his office has deployed technical teams to a number of areas to help survivors who are facing trouble applying for disbursement. So, people experiencing difficulties can contact the team in the field.
"We hope that all Cianjur earthquake victims will receive stimulant assistance from the central government so that no more earthquake victims will live in tents or emergency shelters," he added.
