"The adjustment may come in any form, such as increasing the basic pay, adjusting the performance allowance, or providing other incentives," Rachmatarwata told the media here on Monday.
He explained that as the adjustment is currently under discussion, the final decision will be conveyed when President Joko Widodo delivers the budget statement next August.
"Wait for August 16, and we will know (the decision) by that time," the official noted.
Coordinating Economic Affairs Minister Airlangga Hartarto confirmed on Friday (July 19) the government's plan to increase the wages of the state apparatus in 2025.

The plan was included in the updated version of the 2025 Macro-economy Framework and Fiscal Policies Principles (KEM-PPKF) document, serving as the reference for drafting the 2025 Budget.
In the document, the government elucidated its plan to restructure expenditure for state apparatus on wages and allowances, regional performance allowances, and retirement and health insurance contributions.
The government also planned to adjust its expenditure by revamping employment formations for state apparatus according to analyses of employee quantities and inter-regional employee transfer.
Moreover, the government this year increased the state apparatus wages by eight percent. It also provided the 13th salary and a 100 percent Eid allowance, inclusive of the performance allowance.
