In a statement received from Bapanas in Jakarta on Thursday, Adi stated that representatives of the FAO would visit Indonesia on August 30 this year to directly honor Jokowi with the medal.
Adi explained that the FAO presents the Agricola Medal to world figures and leaders for their notable contributions and staunch commitment to elevating people's living standards and their great support for the organization's vision of achieving universal food resilience.
The official remarked that the FAO had presented a similar award to Indonesian Second President Soeharto 39 years ago.
"We should be proud of Mr. President for deserving the Agricola Medal. This is the result of the government's consistency in combating famine and poverty and strengthening national food resilience and nutrition intake," he remarked.

Adi further highlighted that the Indonesian government had been making all-out efforts to solidify Indonesia's food resilience, including distributing food aid.
"Our food resilience has improved. Various government institutions, including Bapanas, had taken a wide range of steps that we should be proud of," he pointed out.
Meanwhile, Agriculture Minister Andi Amran Sulaiman attributed Indonesia's success to the tenacity of Bapanas and state-run logistics company Bulog.
The minister stated that sound collaboration between stakeholders in the food sector has helped the country maintain stable stocks and prices of food commodities.
"Thank God, owing to collaboration between the National Food Agency and Bulog, we will receive one of the most prestigious food awards in the world," he remarked.
