Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Ministry of Communication and Informatics (MCI) will support media coverage of the High-Level Forum on Multi-Stakeholder Partnership (HLF MSP) and the 2nd Indonesia-Africa Forum (IAF) 2024.

"So, we will facilitate the coverage of our media friends," director general of information and public communication at the ministry, Usman Kansong, said during an online media briefing held by the Merdeka Barat 9 Forum (FMB9), here on Thursday.

The HLF MSP and the 2nd IAF are two different events that will be held simultaneously from September 1–3, 2024, in Nusa Dua, Bali, he informed.

The HLF MSP will be held at Bali International Convention Center (BICC) Westin Hotel, while the 2nd IAF will be held at Mulia Hotel in Nusa Dua, Bali.

To support media coverage, the ministry will provide a media center that will allow 700 journalists, both domestic and foreign journalists, to cover the two events.

The media center will be located in the Pecatu Hall Bali Nusa Dua Convention Center (BNDCC) and will operate from September 1 to 3, Kansong said.

Media crews can register for the events from August 3 to 22, and badge collection will be carried out from August 29 to 31 at Hotel Santika Siligita Nusa Dua, Bali.

"The requirements as usual will be according to standards, as with the international events that we hold," he said.

According to Kansong, journalists seeking to cover the events will need to submit a selfie photo, identity card, and assignment letter from the media institution where they work.

Meanwhile, foreign journalists will need to meet additional requirements, including attaching travel and hotel accommodation information as well as a list of equipment they plan to bring for the events.

Registrations for the events will be open on the website media.msp-iaf.id, and queries related to media registration can be directed to the WhatsApp number 085211574866.

For registration, media crews will need to open the website, create an account, and attach the required information.

As per the data entry officer (DEO), there are three media categories: foreign media, national media, and official media.

"This official media is the media brought by the delegation to Indonesia to cover the IAF or HLF," Kansong said.

After attaching documents and completing the registration, journalists will receive confirmation of registration via email.

"So, the procedure is as usual. And if there is a problem with registration, you can contact the WA number," Kansong said.
