Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Ministry of Home Affairs is planning to hold the Indonesia Maju Expo & Forum 2024 in a bid to support domestic micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs).

According to the plan, the event will take place at the Jakarta Convention Center on July 4-7.

"This activity is expected to create room for constructive communication and serve as a platform for boosting production in a bid to meet domestic demands and rope in investments," the ministry's National Vigilance Director, Andi Baso Indra, noted in a statement cited here on Thursday.

He emphasized the importance of assisting MSME actors in leveling up their businesses, considering their role as a crucial pillar of Indonesia's economic development.
