Jakarta (ANTARA) - State Secretary Minister Pratikno stated that the first cabinet meeting in the Nusantara Capital City (IKN) will discuss the government transition, among other topics.

"The plenary cabinet meeting will discuss about general issues, just like usual," he remarked at the Presidential Palace here on Tuesday.

All ministers in the Onward Indonesia Cabinet are invited to attend the cabinet meeting scheduled for Monday (August 12) in IKN Nusantara.

The meeting will also evaluate the government's works in 2024, which is the last year of President Joko Widodo-Vice President Ma'ruf Amin's administration.

In addition, it will discuss the transition of government to President-elect Prabowo Subianto and Vice President-elect Gibran Rakabuming Raka.

Earlier, Acting Head of the IKN Authority and Public Works and Public Housing Minister Basuki Hadimuljono affirmed that his side had prepared the Garuda Palace and the State Palace as venue options for the cabinet session.

"We have not determined which one yet, either the State Palace or the Garuda Palace. We will prepare both," he remarked.

He revealed that all ministers would be accommodated in the four halls at the State Palace.

Meanwhile, Hadimuljono stated that the president is scheduled to leave for Nusantara on August 11. The president will be in the new capital on August 11-13 and will return to Jakarta on August 14.

Meanwhile, Deputy for Protocol, Press, and Media of the Presidential Secretariat Muhammad Yusuf Permana stated earlier on August 3 that the ministers will stay at Hotel Nusantara while in IKN Nusantara.

"All ministers will be present. They can stay at the Hotel Nusantara," Permana noted.

In addition, Hadimuljono ensured the availability of basic infrastructure such as water supply, electricity, and internet network during the cabinet meeting.
