"This duty is certainly not easy because challenges will continue to come, both from within and from outside," Soesatyo noted in his speech during the 2024 MPR Annual Session at the Parliamentary Complex here on Friday.
According to the speaker, the development that has been carried out by the current President, Joko Widodo (Jokowi), has bridged and connected every island, village, and community with new hopes and opportunities.
Soesatyo emphasized that the country has set a tremendous goal, namely Golden Indonesia, or to become a high-income nation on par with other developed countries by 2045.
He affirmed that this goal requires a joint commitment to carrying out two priority strategies conveyed by the president, namely through industrial downstreaming and human resource development.
"The next government must still strive for this vision," he emphasized.

Soesatyo also congratulated Prabowo and Gibran, who received the people's mandate to lead the country.
"Hopefully, Prabowo-Gibran's vision and mission can be implemented for Golden Indonesia 2045," he remarked.
The 2024 Annual Session, held with the theme "New Nusantara, Advanced Indonesia," consisted of the MPR Annual Session and the Joint Session of the House of Representatives (DPR) and the Regional Representative Council (DPD).
Moreover, the DPR held the Plenary Session to open the First Period of its 2024-2025 Session.
Both at the MPR Session and the DPR-DPD Joint Session, President Jokowi would deliver a report on the performance of state agencies, as well as a state speech in the context of the 79th Anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia.
Meanwhile, at the DPR Plenary Session, the head of state would introduce the 2025 Draft State Budget and the Financial Memorandum.
