Jakarta (ANTARA) - New Director General of Public Information and Communication of the Ministry of Communication and Informatics (Kominfo), Prabu Revolusi, will focus on communicating the government's achievements in the last five years to the public.

"We must strengthen communication regarding the achievements of President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) and (VP) Ma’ruf Amin in the last five years to the public,” he stated at the Kominfo Office here on Monday.

In addition, Revolusi vouches to support public communication during international events held by the government.

Revolusi was recently appointed to replace Usman Kansong, who resigned some time ago.

Although the appointment process was relatively short, Revolusi expressed readiness to carry out his duties and responsibilities.

In the next two months, he will focus on preparing the new concept of public communication.

According to Revolusi, there is no reason to delay the improvement of the government's public communication strategies.

In the era of rapid development of information, Revolusi said he is determined to ensure that the government's information dissemination strategy remains relevant and keeps up with the times.

"We make sure that the public communication can be more appropriate and contextual with the latest developments," he affirmed.
