Denpasar, Bali (ANTARA) - The Indonesian Military (TNI) and the National Police (Polri) have readied 13 thousand personnel to secure the 2nd Indonesia-Africa Forum (IAF) and the High-Level Forum on Multi-Stakeholder Partnership (HLF MSP).

"More than 13 thousand personnel from the region and Jakarta will be deployed," Commander of the Joint Defense Region Command II, Vice Marshal M. Khairil Lubis, stated after holding a Tactical Floor Game (TFG) at the Yudomo Sports Center here on Friday.

The two forums will be held on September 1-3, 2024, in Nusa Dua, Bali.

Based on information from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, he revealed that seven heads of state, comprising four presidents, one vice president, and two ministers appointed to act as the heads of state, have been confirmed to attend the event.

Meanwhile, the number of participants, including delegates and state officials, is estimated to reach 1,500 people.

The TFG was held to anticipate any security risks that may arise during the IAF and HLF MSP.

Meanwhile, Head of the Police's Security Maintenance Agency (Baharkam), Commissioner General Fadil Imran, stated that one of the targets in securing the 2nd IAF and HLF MSP is smooth and safe traffic for state guests, tourists, and the community in Denpasar.

"To facilitate that, we have formed the Walrolakir (Escort, Routing, Patrol, and Parking) Task Force to escort the heads of state and their entourage. The officers will make arrangements and guard the route that the delegates will pass," he remarked.

The delegates will cross several points, starting from the I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport to the Nusa Dua area, then heading to the Hotel Intercontinental Jimbaran, which is the gala dinner venue.
