Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Communication and Informatics Ministry urged all levels of society to participate in ensuring the successful implementation of the High-Level Forum Multi-Stakeholder Partnership (HLF-MSP) and 2nd Indonesia-Africa Forum (IAF) in Bali on September 1-3, 2024.

The international forum is an important event for Indonesia to strengthen cross-sectoral collaboration to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) amid increasingly complex global challenges, the ministry's Director General of Information and Public Communication, Prabunindya Revta Revolusi, stated.

"Support from all elements is needed since the two forums are a big opportunity for (elevating) Indonesia's reputation at the global level," Revolusi noted in a statement from his office on Saturday.

He remarked that the 2nd HLF-MSP and IAF, themed "Strengthening Multi-Stakeholder Partnerships for Development: Towards a Transformative Change," are expected to encourage policy dialogue and strengthen global commitment to sustainable development.

Participants at the event come from developing and developed countries as well as international organizations.

According to Revolusi, more than a thousand participants will attend the 2nd HLF-MSP and IAF forums, including 31 heads of state and government, high-ranking officials from various countries, international organizations, multilateral development banks, the private sector, civil society organizations, philanthropists, and academics.

"We will welcome delegates from Asia, Africa, Latin America, the Pacific, North America, and Europe. This forum is led directly by President Joko Widodo and supported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the National Development Planning Ministry, and the Communication and Informatics Ministry," he revealed.

Furthermore, around 500 domestic and foreign media outlets will cover the event, Revolusi added.

Considering that this event has an impact on international relations, he hopes for public participation to support and facilitate the successful holding of the forum.

The success of organizing this international forum is not merely a reflection of Indonesia's image at the global level but also proves the country's commitment to advancing sustainable development through global cooperation, he remarked.
