Badung, Bali (ANTARA) - Indonesia would share its experience in improving the economy through digitalization with Egypt, Communication and Informatics Minister Budi Arie Setiadi said. "Indonesia, as a large and experienced country, can share its experiences on how digitalization improves the national economy and progress," Budi Arie Setiadi said here on Sunday.

He conveyed this statement during the 2nd Indonesia-Africa Forum (IAF) and the High-Level Forum on Multi-Stakeholder Partnerships (HLF MSP) in Bali.

In addition to sharing about the impact of digitalization on improving the domestic economy, Setiadi added that he would also discuss Indonesia's experience in realizing equal internet access with Egypt's Minister of Communications and Information Technology, Amr Talaat.

He explained that sharing experience in making internet access equal with African countries is very important, considering that 2.3 billion people in the world do not have access to the internet.

Furthermore, he revealed that among the many delegations in HLF MSP, Egypt is the first African country to propose a bilateral meeting with the Indonesian Ministry of Communication and Informatics (Kominfo).

"The Egypt delegation requested a bilateral meeting with Indonesia, in this case Kominfo. It may be about cooperation, which is definitely in the context of digitalization and communication processes," Setiadi said.

HLF MSP 2024 carries the theme "Strengthening Multi-Stakeholder Partnerships: Towards a Transformative Change.".

The forum comprises the Indonesia-Africa Joint Leaders Session and the High-Level Plenary Session.

There are also 12 parallel events and 17 side events until September 3.

Various topics related to sustainable development will be discussed in this forum, including strategies to enhance cross-sector and multilateral cooperation in facing global challenges.

The forum is aimed at being an effective platform to promote dialogue and strengthen global commitment to sustainable development.
