The newly elected Kadin chairman, Anindya Bakrie, made these remarks after the chamber's extraordinary national deliberation in Jakarta on Saturday.
He emphasized that Kadin is a strategic partner of the government and expressed hope that the partnership between the two will strengthen.
"Kadin has been a strategic partner of President Joko Widodo's government for 10 years, and we will continue to be so with the next government," he said.
With strong cooperation between the government and business players, Indonesia is expected to achieve an 8 percent annual economic growth rate, Bakrie added.
"To reach this target, we need to focus on all sectors, from domestic consumption and government expenditure to investment programs," he said.
Officials, business leaders, 21 Kadin provincial heads, and 25 extraordinary members attended the deliberation.
