Speaking to reporters during the party's third anniversary event on Wednesday, Iqbal noted that the party has directly conveyed its support to Prabowo.
"The Labor Party supports the incoming government of President-elect Prabowo Subianto, and we will present our six expectations to him," he said.
Outlining the first of these aspirations, he expressed hope that Prabowo's administration will review the Job Creation Law, particularly its employment section.
"Secondly, we expect the realization of decent wages. We hope that the minimum wage in 2025 will be adjusted for inflation, economic growth, and living costs," he added.
The Labor Party's third aspiration is for the next government to abolish the outsourcing work system. Fourth, the party wants Prabowo to continue the agrarian reform agenda and achieve food sovereignty.
"We do not want food imports during the harvest season and want to return farmers' lands that have been seized by corporations," he said.
The party's fifth aspiration is to promote teachers and appoint civil servants for those currently receiving honorariums.
"Sixth is free education up to the university level. We will present these six expectations to Prabowo," Iqbal said.
He further expressed confidence that Prabowo will address the Labor Party's six expectations within the first 100 days of his administration.
"This concerns the expectations of workers, farmers, fishermen, and honorary workers, as well as other working-class groups," he added.
The Labor Party's endorsement of Prabowo reflects the support of the majority of labor confederations and unions across Indonesia, he concluded.
