The program is implemented to ensure every counter-terrorism activity in the ministry or institution can run optimally and does not overlap.
"The ministry is responsible for coordinating, synchronizing, and controlling the implementation of programs in the ministries and institutions," Assistant 2 for Deputy IV of the Ministry, Air Commodore Bayu Hendra Permana, noted in a statement from his office on Thursday.
His side has so far been responsible for carrying out counter-terrorism programs in several ministries and institutions, namely the Ministry of Home Affairs, Ministry of Social Affairs, Ministry of Religious Affairs, National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN), National Counterterrorism Agency (BNPT), Indonesian Defense Forces (TNI), and the National Police (Polri).
Based on the monitoring and evaluation of programs, Permana explained that several programs were considered to not have run optimally, namely the National Action Plan for the Prevention and Handling of Violent Extremism (RAN-Pe) and the synergy program between ministries and institutions in countering terrorism at BNPT.

He explained that the program has not run optimally, as the activity in each program is not integrated.
He stated that various efforts have been made to find solutions to the problem, such as conducting a coordination meeting between all related ministries and institutions.
The meeting was held in Bogor, West Java, on Tuesday (October 1). Permana said that apart from discussing the two programs, the meeting also deliberated on the results of the evaluation of all counter-terrorism programs.
"The coordination meeting also aims to follow up on the recommendations of the coordinating minister for political, legal, and security affairs and to obtain input from the minister in determining further policies," he revealed.
Permana remarked that by synergizing all counter-terrorism programs across ministries and institutions, any idea or act related to terrorism and radicalism will not grow in government circles.
