"I think what is important, like the commitment of Prabowo Subianto as president-elect, is that he will continue all of Jokowi's programs," Effendy, familiarly called Muhadjir, stated here on Thursday (Oct 17).
Muhadjir said special coordination during the transition period was unnecessary, as Prabowo's vision and mission were a continuation of President Jokowi's programs.
He believes that zero percent extreme poverty alleviation, stunting alleviation, and child nutrition programs, which are currently priority programs in the ministry, would continue in the next era of government.
His belief is also reflected in the assignment of several ministers of the Jokowi era who were reassigned by President Prabowo in the next cabinet.
"I think there is no need for special coordination because this is all a continuation, and it is reflected in the reassignment of Jokowi-era ministers by (President) Prabowo that the programs that have been implemented by Jokowi are on the right track," he remarked.
He cited the example of the Free Nutritious Meals Program as a continuation of an existing program. The PMK Ministry along with the Health Ministry and BKKBN earlier had in place a program that focused on pregnant women and toddlers.
"The additional meal program is (part of the) healthy nutrition program. It is now continued by (President) Prabowo and targets higher levels such as elementary school children, junior high school children, and so on," he noted.
