In a briefing for the VVIP security of the presidential inauguration here on Friday, TNI Commander General Agus Subiyanto urged all TNI officers to coordinate with the relevant institutions, especially Polri, while conducting their tasks.
"Please coordinate in carrying out tasks along with relevant units and institutions to realize synchronization in this activity," he remarked on that occasion accompanied by Polri Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo.
For the security operations, the TNI formed as many as 10 task forces, which are part of the VVIP Joint Integrated Security Command, specifically for securing the president, vice president, and state guests while the Polri formed eight task forces for the event.
After the briefing, Listyo said that most of the Polri personnel had been deployed to their designated positions.
"For the security operations, we divided them into eight task forces," he remarked without divulging details on the names of the task forces formed.
The 10 task forces formed by TNI are the Jakarta Area Security Task Force, Special Forces Task Force, VVIP Security Task Force, Information Task Force, Medical Task Force, Intelligence Task Force, Marine Task Force, Air Task Force, Communication and Electronics Task Force, and Cyber Task Force.
Those task forces are controlled by the VVIP Joint Integrated Security Command led by Vice Admiral Rachmad Jayadi.
The VVIP security operations for the presidential and vice presidential inauguration will last a week on October 17-23, 2024.
Prabowo and Gibran will be inaugurated as president and vice president of Indonesia for the 2024–2029 period on October 20, 2024, at the Nusantara Building, Senayan Parliamentary Complex, Jakarta.
The two earlier won the 2024 Presidential Election with 96,214,691 votes or 58.59 percent of the valid votes polled.
