They include the Ministry of Social Affairs, Ministry of Migrant Worker Protection, Ministry of Cooperatives, Ministry of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), Ministry of Creative Economy, and Ministry of Villages and Development of Underdeveloped Regions.
"This will be in my coordination. And, of course, we will try our best to integrate and synergize," Iskandar said during the handover of duties at the Coordinating Ministry for Human Development and Culture (PMK) here on Monday.
President Prabowo Subianto has split the PMK Coordinating Ministry into two — PMK Coordinating Ministry and Coordinating Ministry for Community Empowerment (PM).
The PMK Coordinating Ministry and the PM Coordinating Ministry will be housed in one building. Both will share roles and synergize to realize the vision and mission of President Prabowo and Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka.
"We hope that each of these ministries will not be dominated by sectoral egos. We want this empowerment ministry to be a unifier so that sectoral egos can be overcome," Iskandar said.
Regarding the addition of staff, he informed that his ministry would likely add one or two deputies, complementing the existing deputies at the PMK Coordinating Ministry.
"We'll look for one or two deputies who can synchronize the small business with social empowerment," he said.
He also emphasized that in the Red and White Cabinet, there will be no differences in political views or understanding. "All must be in one command to realize the vision and mission of Prabowo-Gibran," he said.
He made the statement following reports of his feud with Secretary General of the Nahdlatul Ulama Central Board (PBNU) Saifullah Yusuf, who has been appointed Minister of Social Affairs.
"I accept this mandate with a sincere intention to work together with all ministries in the coordination entrusted to me," he said.
