Jakarta (ANTARA) - Chair of the Indonesian Ombudsman Mokhammad Najih has said that the Ombudsman will focus on monitoring the changes or separation of ministries and agencies in the first 100 days of President Prabowo Subianto's term. This was conveyed by Najih during a meeting with Commission II of the House of Representatives (DPR) at the Parliamentary Complex, Jakarta, on Monday.

He said that the Ombudsman will coordinate with the relevant ministries and agencies regarding the separation of ministries in the Red and White Cabinet.

The separation of ministries has been regulated in Presidential Regulation Number 139 of 2024 on the Arrangement of Duties and Functions of the Ministries of the Red and White Cabinet for the 2024–2029 Period, which was issued on October 21, 2024.

As per the regulation, the Cabinet comprises 48 ministries with 7 coordinating ministries, 19 unchanged ministries, 20 ministries with changed names and tasks, as well as 2 ministries with changed names.

In addition to monitoring the separation of ministries and agencies, the Indonesian Ombudsman is also focusing on the implementation of the South East Asian Ombudsman Forum (SEAOF), which will be held in November.

Furthermore, it will focus on the implementation of the Awarding of Public Service Standards Compliance Assessment in November 2024 and preparations for the implementation of the 2025 Indonesian Ombudsman Opinion Assessment (Regulation, Policy, and Method).

"This year, we are chairing the South East Asian Ombudsman Forum," he said.

Consolidation of the strategic plans of the Indonesian Ombudsman and the Red and White Cabinet will also be a priority in the first 100 days of the Cabinet's term.
