"We will bring Indonesia's missions," he said in Baku, Azerbaijan, on Monday.
With the theme "In Solidarity for a Green World," COP29 will be held from November 11 to 22, featuring bilateral meetings between countries and the private sector as well as a series of negotiations.
The head of the Indonesian delegation at COP29, Hashim S. Djojohadikusumo, will deliver Indonesia's national statement on November 13.
Environment Minister Hanif Faisol Nurofiq noted that the main agenda at COP29, aside from overseeing unfinished long-term negotiations, is to discuss specific themes promoted by the presidency.
"We are here to oversee the current conditions of the carbon trading implementation framework," he stated at Baku Olympic Stadium, the event venue.
Nurofiq said that his ministry had updated President Prabowo Subianto on the declaration of Indonesian carbon trading upon his return from Baku.
"We will resolve the long-overdue blockages. We have prepared a strategy for the joint credit mechanism," he remarked.
In addition, Indonesia will hold more bilateral meetings at the Indonesian Pavilion to encourage the formalization of carbon trading, according to Nurofiq.
Antoni said that he and Nurofiq will open the Indonesian Pavilion at COP29 as a means of public outreach or soft diplomacy and a platform for discussion and exchanging ideas.
"At the pavilion, we can present our efforts in the reforestation process," he noted.
