BUMN Minister Erick Thohir praised the positive performance of State-Owned Enterprises (SOEs) for being able to increase revenue contributions to the state.
However, he emphasized that this performance could improve further through several ongoing transformation efforts made by these enterprises, according to a statement received from the ministry in Jakarta on Saturday.
"I am sure that this performance can continue to improve along with the spirit of SOEs to maximize existing potential while exploring new opportunities. Hence, the key is not just utilizing existing revenue sources but also exploring and innovating to unlock new revenue potential," Erick said.
PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia recorded the largest dividend contribution with Rp25.7 trillion, followed by Bank Mandiri, Rp17.1 trillion; Mind ID, Rp11.2 trillion; Pertamina, Rp9.3 trillion; Telkom, Rp9.2 trillion; BNI, Rp6.2 trillion; PLN, Rp3 trillion; Pupuk Indonesia, Rp1.2 trillion; Pelindo, Rp1 trillion; and BTN, Rp420 billion. These companies emerged as the top 10 SOEs by dividend contribution.
As of November 7, 2024, the dividends paid by SOEs to the country have increased the state income.
This dividend increase is a positive boost for the government under Prabowo Subianto, which aims to increase state revenue across various sectors.
The rise in dividends also proves the consistent improvement in the business performance of SOEs, especially after the COVID-19 pandemic.
The 2025 dividend target has been set at Rp90 trillion. Based on the state-owned enterprises' performance up to November 2024, which continues to record positive results, the Ministry of SOEs is optimistic about meeting the established target.
