"We have three main programs so that MSMEs can upgrade their levels, the first is securing the Indonesian market," he informed during the export development week here on Tuesday.
He noted that the Indonesian market's potential is very large, and it can be used as much as possible.
Another program is the expansion of export markets to various countries by increasing bilateral trade agreements.
"Hence, MSMEs can export (their products), which means they dare to innovate and adapt. This is to create MSMEs that can control the domestic market and foreign markets," he explained.
He said that one of the objectives of the program is also to gather mentors for MSMEs so that the mentors have the same perspective to advance MSMEs. In addition, with the help of mentors, MSMEs can increase their capacity.
"If looking to export, there are two things that need be considered, namely innovating and having competitiveness in management because there are many cases like MSMEs carry out exports, but the suppliers cannot meet the demand," Santoso explained.
MSME players are being asked to monitor and analyze the marketplace to find buyers from other countries, he added.
"To realize Indonesia as a developed country in 2045, everything must be carried out with a process," he said.
One of the steps that need to be achieved toward being an advanced country is the economic growth target of 8 percent by 2028, he added.
"Including sustainable and inclusive economic growth, which is targeted at 8 percent in 2028. It will be the basis for future economic growth," he said.
