"Of course, efforts to prevent corruption and supervision of law enforcement related to corruption must be tightened to prevent deviations," she said at the "One Decade of Integrity Zone" event here on Wednesday.
She added that the President has asked that bureaucratic reforms reflect a more responsive bureaucracy and continue to push improvements, especially related to technology-based services.
She noted that the one decade of the Integrity Zone program is an important momentum to encourage the acceleration of bureaucratic reform in Indonesia.
"This bureaucratic reform will be a strong foundation in creating governance that is cleaner, more effective, and more efficient," Widyantini affirmed.
She further explained that the Integrity Zone is a "miniature" version of the bureaucratic reform that emphasizes three main things.
They are changes in the way of thinking and culture of bureaucrats and agencies, the development of pilot units for corruption-free areas (WBK) and clean and serving bureaucratic areas (WBBM), and the spread of a positive work culture.
"It is expected that each pilot unit will be able to spread a work culture that is corruption-free, upholds high integrity, and is oriented toward excellent public services to other units," she said.
On that occasion, deputy for bureaucratic reform, apparatus accountability, and supervision at the Ministry of State Apparatus and Bureaucratic Reform, Erwan Agus Purwanto, said that currently, more than 2,600 work units are working to achieve WBK and WBBM status.
