Minister of State-Owned Enterprises Erick Thohir said that he inspected the readiness of the facilities and infrastructure at the airport to ensure travelers' comfort.
He stated that his ministry had received a directive from President Prabowo Subianto to ensure safe transportation during the Christmas and New Year holidays and to work towards reducing air ticket prices.
He praised the state tourism company, InJourney Airports, for improving services across all airports.
On the same occasion, Minister of Transportation Dudy Purwagandhi also commended InJourney Airports for its continued efforts to enhance passenger services.
"We express our appreciation for the performance and innovation that has been carried out by InJourney, especially for Soekarno-Hatta International Airport and Bali's I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport," he remarked.
He said that InJourney has beautified the two airports and implemented airport data-driven operations and digitalization.
In addition to security, comfort and ease of access are equally important, he added.
InJourney Airports CEO Faik Fahmi stated that his company has prepared 37 airports for the year-end holidays.
"We are committed to ensuring that the mobility of people during the Christmas and New Year holidays can run smoothly, and during this period, we are operating the airports for a full 24 hours," he added.
