Wonogiri, C. Java (ANTARA) - Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka has emphasized the need to increase domestic productivity, especially in industries operated by local brands.

During a working trip to Wonogiri Regency, Central Java, on Friday, the Vice President visited two large-scale factories that produce bags and jerseys.

"I want to see the domestic industry, what the situation is like in these factories," he said.

During the visit, he reviewed the raw materials, production process, and marketing strategy of the factories, as well as learned about the challenges faced by producers.

Afterward, he said that local producers in Wonogiri are in good condition.

"Especially the two factories that I looked at; I think they are pretty good," Gibran added.

Increasing domestic productivity and use of local products are among President Prabowo Subianto’s priority programs to boost the national economy, he explained.

"Therefore, the quality of the goods and the marketing strategy must be improved. I see that the marketing here is very good; there is a special team for content creators, I think it is very good. All customizations are served, and they provide free shipping as well," he said.

In the future, Gibran will continue to encourage the growth of local industries.

"Because the products here are very good, there are many young people and young designers involved by empowering tailors in 21 locations in 15 sub-districts. The multiplier effect is extraordinary; we will encourage the products to go global," he added.
