"Hopefully, through this program, we can strengthen our younger generation toward creating a golden generation and athletes with quality, perhaps even those who can compete at the Olympic level," he remarked.
The minister made the remarks while reviewing the program's implementation in Cimahi, West Java, according to information provided on the official website of the Ministry of Youth and Sports on Monday.
Ariotedjo monitored the distribution of free healthy meals at public junior high school SMPN 12 Cimahi and public high school SMAN 3 Cimahi.
During the visit, he also held a dialogue with junior high school students who were provided a free meal that comprised rice, chicken, vegetables, fruits, and milk.

He also gave the students some advice and motivated them to strive to achieve their goals, including those aspiring to become athletes.
"With the right education, diligent study, and the provision of free nutritious meals, you can become successful in the future," he said.
During his review of the MBG's implementation, Minister Ariotedjo, who was accompanied by the acting mayor of Cimahi, Dicky Saromi, also talked with teachers and the school principal.
In addition, he checked the flow of the program's logistics and distribution.
He also asked the schools to provide inputs, suggestions, and criticism about the meals.
Ariotedjo expressed the hope that the MBG program would make a significant contribution to fostering a strong younger generation for the sake of Indonesia's progress, especially in generating world-class athletes.
