"First of all, integrity is everything. Make sure that it drives your attitude, decisions, and actions. Keep in mind that integrity is the foundation of public trust and organizational success," she told the newly inducted employees.
As cited in her office's statement released in Jakarta, the minister also urged the officials to focus on providing high-quality public services by ensuring that every decision aligns with the nation's interests.
Wardhana then stressed that all officials serving at the Ministry of Tourism should pursue impactful efforts, set clear targets, and conduct regular evaluations.
The minister then highlighted internal harmony as another crucial principle, emphasizing the need for her ranks to work hand in hand as a cohesive unit for the sake of shared goals.
Further, Wardhana encouraged the civil servants to confront challenges head-on, fix errors and learn from mistakes, and adapt to rapid changes.
Recognizing the significance of flexibility, the minister called on her officials to embrace technology and innovative approaches to boosting the Ministry of Tourism's performance.
Elaborating on her final directive, Wardhana urged her ranks to approach their roles with a sense of conscience and responsibility to produce meaningful, concrete outputs.
"Your new positions are a mandate rather than a mere honor. This mandate should be carried out with heart, integrity, and courage," she told the officials, who included the ministry's secretary and several deputies.
