Minister of Health, Budi Gunadi Sadikin, conveyed this after a special meeting with Prabowo, during which the two discussed the continuation of the PKG program, one of the quick-win programs of the Red and White Cabinet in the health sector.
"The free health check program, decided by him (President Prabowo), will start on February 10. It will be available at local health centers and clinics," he said at the Presidential Palace here on Wednesday.
According to the minister, the President will review the program's implementation, just like he did for the Free Nutritious Meals (MBG) program.
Sadikin emphasized that the PKG program will aim to reach all age groups, with approximately 280 million people expected to benefit from it.
The beneficiaries will be organized into two age groups: those under school age, six years and younger, and those over six years old.
In the initial stage, the PKG program will be implemented at 10 thousand local health centers and 15 thousand clinics.
"The (health examination) will be scheduled on their birthday, plus one month. For those with birthdays in January, February, or March, the deadline will be extended to April," Sadikin said, adding that the check-ups will be tailored to age needs.
He informed that newborns will undergo six health checks and toddlers eight types of checks.
For elementary school children, there will be 11 types of examinations; for junior high school students, there will be 13 types of checks; and high school students will undergo 12 types of examinations.
Furthermore, there will be 19 types of examinations for adults and the elderly.
