Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Health Ministry is enhancing its digital recording system to support the free health check-up program (PKG), which is currently in its trial phase.

"We need to conduct the trial or simulations at health centers or health facilities," the Ministry's Chief Digital Transformation Office (DTO), Setiaji, remarked on Tuesday.

Setiaji explained that the ministry is utilizing the SatuSehat application to connect with citizens across the country and implement a standardized recording system at each health facility.

He further noted that the SatuSehat application will contain information on PKG, including procedures for registering families or children who do not have smart devices to access the application.

In addition, the ministry is establishing a help desk to run the digital service and to support the regional Communication and Information Offices to aid those struggling to access the application.

For easy access, individuals with a Digital Population Identity (IKD) can directly log into the SatuSehat application without the need for verification, Setiaji stated.

He explained that the application has also been integrated with the application from the national health insurer, BPJS Mobile, to ensure participants' BPJS Health eligibility.

He reminded the public to download the SatuSehat application promptly to take advantage of PKG facilities.

Previously, the Ministry of Health had issued regulations for PKG, namely the Decree of the Minister of Health of the Republic of Indonesia Number HK.01.07/MENKES/33/2025 concerning Technical Instructions for Free Birthday Health Checks.

This regulation came into effect on January 21, 2025, and is a guideline for all parties involved in PKG, including the central and regional governments, primary health facilities (FKTP), public health laboratories, and professional organizations.

"This technical instruction is proof of our readiness to implement the free health check-up program. With clear guidelines, we hope all parties involved can work together to provide the best service to the community," the ministry's spokesperson, Widyawati, remarked.

The program covers all age groups, including newborns (two days old), toddlers and preschool children (1–6 years), adults (18–59 years), and the elderly (60 years and older).
