“The president wants to launch the government technology program, which will later integrate all ‘apps’ in ministries and institutions in order to support efficient work and reduce corruption,” National Economic Council (DEN) chairman Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan stated after a meeting with President Prabowo here on Wednesday (March 19).
He elaborated that by integrating all public services of ministries and government institutions into GovtTech, the public can expect governance that is both more transparent and less prone to corruption.
In line with the plan to launch GovTech, President Prabowo has instructed that every family must have a bank account to ensure the distribution of social assistance to targeted recipients.
"We have calculated approximately how much we can save (from this process), maybe almost Rp100 trillion. I will update the numbers later,” Pandjaitan noted.
He also remarked that the president is set to meet with hundreds of young people who initiated GovTech.

GovTech is built on four key pillars. The first pillar focuses on optimizing state revenues, both tax and non-tax state revenues (PNBP). The digital system in this pillar is Coretax for taxes and Simbara for PNBP from minerals and coal.
The second pillar aims to enhance state spending efficiency through version 6.0 of the e-catalogue system, which includes new features such as real-time monitoring, integration across ministries and institutions, automatic needs analysis, as well as data-based vendor evaluation to ensure that state spending is right on target.
The third pillar targets public services, such as population administration, driving licenses, passports, education, and healthcare. The digital system in this field is designed to reduce excessive bureaucracy and provide an easier and faster service delivery for the public.
The last pillar seeks to improve the ease of doing business using the Online Single Submission (OSS) system.
Enhancements to the OSS can accelerate the business licensing process and boost investment competitiveness in Indonesia. This more integrated OSS system will encourage the growth of small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and attract more direct investment.
