Jakarta (ANTARA) - President Prabowo Subianto held a dialogue on Sunday afternoon with seven journalists from seven media groups to provide comprehensive and clear information to the public.

"Today, I had the opportunity to chat with seven journalists from seven media groups in Indonesia," he wrote on his Instagram account @prabowo.

The seven journalists were Alfito Deannova (Editor-in-Chief of detikcom), Lalu Mara Satriawangsa (Editor-in-Chief of TvOne), Uni Lubis (Editor-in-Chief of IDN Times), Najwa Shihab (Founder of Narasi), Sutta Dharmasaputra (Editor-in-Chief of Kompas), Retno Pinasti (Editor-in-Chief of SCTV-Indosiar), and Valerina Daniel (TVRI News Anchor).

The meeting, facilitated by Deputy Minister of Communication and Digital, Angga Raka Prabowo, was held in Hambalang, West Java. During the meeting, they exchanged views and information with the president regarding current strategic issues in the country.

On that occasion, the head of state also expressed his appreciation for the opportunity given.

"Thank you for the opportunity for today's interview. Hopefully, the answers and explanations I have given can be well-received and become complete and clear information for all people," he remarked.

Confirmed separately, Angga Raka described this format as a new approach in Prabowo's government communication strategy.

In his conversation with senior journalist Uni Lubis uploaded on his Instagram account @2.prabowo, Angga Raka stated that now is the right moment for the president to address various issues directly.

"We have been working for 150 days (the Red and White Cabinet). The president had interacted with several editor-in-chiefs a month ago. We have revealed many things. There are also many requests to interview the president. He feels that this is the right time to meet the media directly," he said.

Lubis stated that no questions were submitted in advance to the palace for the interview session.

"The president did not know the questions. We also did not tell the deputy minister regarding the questions," she confirmed.

Angga Raka stated that the interview's results are scheduled to be published on Monday.
