"We will support the travel grants, facilitate the Indonesian pavilion, and also hold an Indonesian night activity," he stated at a press conference in Jakarta on Tuesday.
He expressed hope that the delegation, set to depart in mid-May 2025, would capitalize on this opportunity to network, promote Indonesian films, and compete.
"That is very important for our film industry," he emphasized.
He noted that Indonesia's presence in the film festival, with the largest market share in the world, benefits the Indonesian film market, which is starting to show promising development.
Additionally, he stated that the delegates and Indonesian films presented at Cannes can serve as instruments of cultural diplomacy on the international stage.
"We hope that our films will be appreciated," Zon stated.
Last year, Indonesian film viewers reached almost 81 million, while foreign film audiences reached 40 million in the same period.

He expressed hope that with the government's support, more young Indonesian filmmakers would be able to attend the Cannes festival in the future.
On the same occasion, Reza Rahadian, one of the Indonesian delegates at the Cannes Film Festival, lauded the government's support of the Marché du Film event in Cannes.
"For me, the Ministry of Culture, in particular, is very open to discussing and receiving input for improvement, especially Minister Fadli Zon, who is very open," he stated.
Rahadian also shared his plan to seek potential partnerships and networking at Cannes to collaborate with various parties in the international arena.
In addition to the filmmaker, three Indonesian comic artists will present their work at the same event. All three had worked on some Marvel and DC comics.
