In a statement received here on Saturday, DPR Speaker Puan Maharani said that the planned meeting with PM Li is also expected to pave the way for stronger cooperation between the parliaments of both countries.
"The meeting reflects the shared commitment of Indonesia and China to strengthening their bilateral relations. It is clear that both countries aim to expand cooperation across various strategic areas," she added.
Maharani said she considers Li's visit a testament to "the Chinese government's eagerness to bolster ties with the people of Indonesia."
The lawmaker expressed confidence that PM Li's visit to Jakarta would boost Indonesia-China relations to a new level, especially as the two nations mark the 75th anniversary of diplomatic ties this year.
"The DPR is ready to facilitate the strengthening of Indonesia-China relations across various sectors," she affirmed.
She also referenced the 70th anniversary of the Asian-African Conference, noting that Indonesia and China used the event—also known as the Bandung Conference—to advocate for the freedom of nations worldwide.

"The 10 Bandung Principles resulting from the conference remain relevant in today's global dynamics. The harmonious relations between Indonesia and China can serve as a strong foundation not only for bilateral cooperation but also for global collaboration," she said.
PM Li landed at Halim Perdanakusuma Air Base in Jakarta on Saturday afternoon.
According to the Presidential Secretariat, President Prabowo Subianto is scheduled to receive the Chinese leader with an official ceremony at Merdeka Palace on Sunday morning.
Yusuf Permana, the secretariat's deputy for protocols, press, and media, stated that the two leaders will hold a bilateral meeting afterward, along with officials from both countries.
"This meeting reflects the two nations' shared commitment to deepening bilateral ties and strategic cooperation," Permana added.
The official agenda will conclude with President Prabowo hosting Prime Minister Li to a state luncheon.
