"If you want to hold a job fair, please be aware of the risks. We hope that the job fair will serve as proof of the government's role," the minister remarked when met here on Wednesday.
Recent job fairs have come under scrutiny following several incidents in various locations, including Cikarang, West Java.
An overwhelming number of job seekers combined with a limited number of job vacancies available at the job fair have been cited as one of the factors contributing to the disorder at the event.
The chaos has sparked criticism, especially in cyberspace, where several netizens claimed that the job fair was held merely as a formality rather than providing a solution to absorb the workforce.

"Do not let this cause a problem (that the job fair is held only as) a formality, and that there are few job vacancies (during the job fair). We do not expect this to happen. If you are not ready, do not hold it," Yassierli remarked.
He emphasized that job fairs not only serve as a means to bring together job seekers and job providers but also as a forum to expand relations and improve competencies through other attractive facilities.
Several other facilities provided at the Job Fair 2025 include consultations for job seekers, walk-in interviews, opportunities to improve competency through training centers, and talk show sessions attended by relevant speakers.
"I am sure that what we have built together is appreciated by the company, and it is indeed the company's obligation to report job vacancies," Yassierli remarked.
"The Ministry of Manpower will continue to pursue these efforts so that they bring real benefits to people who are looking for work," the minister stressed.
