Jakarta (ANTARA) - Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto departed Jakarta for an official visit to Singapore on Sunday afternoon.

Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka saw off the president and his delegation at Halim Perdanakusuma Air Base at around 6:20 p.m. local time, according to an official statement.

On Monday, Prabowo is scheduled to attend several high-level engagements, including a state reception and a bilateral meeting with Singaporean President Tharman Shanmugaratnam at Parliament House.

“In addition to meeting the Singaporean president, President Prabowo is also scheduled to participate in a bilateral leaders’ retreat with Singaporean Prime Minister Lawrence Wong,” said Yusuf Permana, Deputy for Protocols, Press, and Media.

The visit's agenda was outlined earlier by Ministry of Foreign Affairs spokesperson Rolliansyah Soemirat during a media briefing in Jakarta on Thursday.

“On Monday, June 16, 2025, the President will join the Prime Minister of Singapore in a leaders’ retreat,” Soemirat said.

He explained that the retreat will allow both leaders to align their new administrations on strategic bilateral priorities.

“The format is intended to encourage open discussions on bilateral, regional, and global issues,” he added.

Following his visit to Singapore, President Prabowo is scheduled to travel to Russia from June 18 to 20, where he will meet Russian President Vladimir Putin and deliver a keynote address at the Saint Petersburg International Economic Forum.
