“This morning, we are initiating the development of 24 SPPGs to support the Free Nutritious Meals program,” he announced in Solo, Central Java, on Wednesday, according to a statement released by Polri in Jakarta.
According to General Prabowo, the construction of the 24 kitchens is expected to be completed within the next three months. He said that the facilities are expected to prepare food for nearly 91 thousand residents across Central Java.
“Once the development concludes, we may conduct evaluations,” he informed, adding that the police will collaborate with a supervision task force formed by Central Java Governor Ahmad Lutfi to execute the plan.
Furthermore, he highlighted the possibility of tripling the number of police-organized SPPGs in Central Java.
He then emphasized the importance of cross-sector collaboration to ensure that the MBG program runs optimally, in line with President Prabowo Subianto’s mission to produce healthy and high-quality human resources through improvements in nutritional intake.
“Our SPPG initiative is intended to help improve the nutritional intake of schoolchildren at kindergarten, elementary, junior high, and senior high schools. This way, we aim to contribute to preparing quality human resources to usher in Indonesia’s golden era in 2045,” he stated.
Earlier, on June 17, 2025, the police chief announced that his institution has set the target of establishing at least 118 SPPGs across the country.
He noted that Polri currently operates 12 SPPGs, with 21 others undergoing verification by the National Nutrition Agency (BGN).
He also emphasized the importance of all MBG stakeholders adhering to strict standards regarding meal and raw material quality to prevent food poisoning.
“We will strive to pay close attention to meal quality to prevent poisoning,” he said after inaugurating an SPPG organized by the Jembrana Resort Police in Jembrana district, Bali.
