“The impact of violence against women and children is considered by several parties to have not been significantly suppressed; the active involvement of all parties must be increased to prevent violence,” she said in a statement received here on Friday.
Moerdijat noted that in the 2024 National Survey of Children and Adolescents’ Life Experiences (SNPHAR), 51 percent of children aged 13–17 years reported experiencing violence.
Meanwhile, she added, the 2024 National Survey of Women’s Life Experiences (SPHPN) showed that one in four women have experienced physical or sexual violence throughout their lives.

For that reason, the survey results must become the basis for taking more serious steps to prevent violence against children and women in Indonesia, she stressed.
She underlined the need for more effective measures to prevent violence against children and women.
This is necessary to build an environment that helps improve the quality of the nation’s next generation.
The MPR deputy speaker also emphasized the importance of increasing the dissemination of information to build community empowerment and prevent violence.
She expressed the hope that stakeholders at the central, regional, and community level can play an active role in creating an environment that is friendly to children and women to realize competitive future generations.
