He said the Ministry of Manpower and the Ministry for the Protection of Indonesian Migrant Workers (P2MI) have joined forces to achieve this goal.
In a statement released in Jakarta on Monday, Yassierli noted that his ministry supports the P2MI Ministry in optimizing overseas employment opportunities.
He explained that both ministries have distinct yet complementary roles, and must collaborate to build a safe and globally competitive workforce ecosystem.
"The Ministry of Manpower will focus on improving worker competencies, while the P2MI Ministry will ensure the effective implementation of migrant worker protection policies," he said.
Yassierli also acknowledged public expectations for greater access to employment and said meeting these expectations is a shared responsibility.
He added that the memorandum of understanding (MoU) signed with P2MI Minister Abdul Kadir Karding reflects the government's commitment to stronger collaboration and improved protection for Indonesian migrant workers.
He expressed optimism that the synergy between the two ministries will help create a workforce that is not only job-ready but also capable of contributing significantly to the global economy.
