“The collective strength of creative economy actors has actively contributed to expanding creative economy literacy, creating new business opportunities, and preserving local culture through creative products,” Creative Economy Minister Teuku Riefky Harsya said.
Minister Harsya stated that the ministry would soon sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with GEKRAFS following the closing of the organization’s first congress, as part of the strategies to achieve President Prabowo Subianto’s Golden Indonesia 2045 Vision.
According to him, GEKRAFS is deemed a strategic partner in strengthening the creative economy ecosystem at the regional level.

The minister also praised GEKRAFS’ contributions for its presence in 38 provinces, 273 districts and cities, as well as international representation in seven countries, with more than 30 thousand members.
“Under President Prabowo’s directives, the development of the creative economy has been extraordinary. Therefore, a different approach is needed, as we are dealing with both industry and economy, which cannot be realized if we work alone,” Minister Harsya stated.
He said the GEKRAFS congress, themed “The Creative Economy as Indonesia’s Future", successfully reaffirmed the role of the creative economy as a main pillar in the strategy toward the Golden Indonesia vision.
The minister stressed that grand visions only hold meaning if translated into inclusive and sustainable actions.
“This tremendous creative economy potential is now in your hands. The creative process must become more competitive so that those at the district level can be upgraded to the provincial level, and from the provincial level to the national and even global stage,” Harsya said.
