According to ANTARA’s observation, the Singaporean defense minister arrived at 10:36 a.m. local time and was greeted directly by Minister Sjamsoeddin and his delegation.
The two ministers then took part in a welcome ceremony featuring the national anthems of both countries.
Sjamsoeddin invited Chan to inspect the ceremonial troops and pay respects to a statue of Indonesia’s first president, Soekarno, depicted on horseback.
Following the ceremony, the ministers proceeded into the Defense Ministry building for a closed-door meeting, during which they were expected to exchange views on a number of issues, including efforts to deepen bilateral military and defense cooperation.
