Poso (ANTARA) - The Ministry of Social Affairs has deployed a team to provide psychosocial support to children affected by a recent earthquake in Poso District, Central Sulawesi, aiming to help them recover from trauma and resume their education.

Through the Nipotowe Center in Palu, the province's capital, the ministry organized interactive activities, light counseling, and motivational sessions at SDN 1 Tangkura elementary school in Poso Pesisir Selatan Subdistrict.

"Our team engaged the children with educational games, ice breakers, and emotional support to help them regain confidence and joy," said Diah Rini Lesmawati, head of the Nipotowe Center, during a relief distribution on Thursday.

Children are among the most vulnerable in disasters and need targeted psychological recovery efforts, she added.

"The school supplies reflect the government’s commitment to supporting the continuation of learning activities after the disaster," she added.
