"Jakarta MRT services return to normal on Monday," the Acting Head of the Corporate Secretary Division of MRT Jakarta, Ahmad Pratomo, announced on Monday.
He explained that service hours are from 5:00 a.m. to 12:00 a.m. local time, with train headways of 10 minutes during off-peak hours and 5 minutes during peak hours.
Pratomo confirmed that all Jakarta MRT stations are now accessible to passengers, including Istora Mandiri Station.
"Istora Mandiri MRT Station is now open for entry through entrances B, C, and D, and the elevators on the IDX side are open. Entrance A and the elevators on the GBK side are currently closed," he continued.
He encouraged the public to use the MRT as a comfortable and safe mode of transportation and to stay updated on the latest information through MRT Jakarta's official social media channels and website.
Previously, the Transjakarta bus stop in front of the Jakarta Metropolitan Office was burned down by an unidentified mob during a demonstration in Sudirman, Jakarta, on Friday (August 29).
They also destroyed the entrance to the Istora MRT Station.
As a follow-up, Jakarta Deputy Governor Rano Karno stated that his party would immediately repair the damaged bus stops and waive fares for Transjakarta and MRT services for the following week.
In addition, PT Transportasi Jakarta (Transjakarta) stated that all Transjakarta bus routes had returned to normal operation on Monday.
"This morning, starting at 5:00 a.m., all Transjakarta routes return to operate normally," Transjakarta's Head of the Public Relations and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Department, Ayu Wardhani, informed on Monday.
According to her, several bus stops were damaged during the protest, namely Bendungan Hilir, Kwitang, Kampung Melayu, Kramat Sentiong, Bidara Cina, Cililitan, Semanggi, Petamburan, and Widya Candra.
Followed by the Jatinegara bus stop, Kejaksaan Agung, Matraman Baru, Pemuda Pramuka, Masjid Agung, Gelora Bung Karno 1 non-BRT bus stop, and the Polda Metro Jaya 1 non-BRT bus stop.
