According to ANTARA, at around 08.45 local time, several MRT personnel, both in uniform and with visible ID badges, were seen entering the station. They declined to comment, saying they were not authorized to speak to the media.
Three station entrances, located near the Gelora Bung Karno area and the SCBD business district, were covered with spray-painted graffiti in red, black and blue.
Station windows were shattered, with glass scattered on the sidewalks, while a bent railing lay in front of Entrance A. At Entrance B, MRT staff were seen removing another railing to prevent public access.
Nearby, the TransJakarta bus stop in front of the Metro Jaya Police headquarters was gutted by fire during Friday night’s incident, leaving only the pedestrian bridge intact and accessible.
Due to the damage, Jakarta MRT operated only a short loop service between Lebak Bulus Station and Blok M BCA Station on Saturday.
TransJakarta suspended service at several stops, citing safety concerns and the potential for further demonstrations to disrupt operations.
