Jakarta (ANTARA) - Bus rapid transit TransJakarta has resumed operations at the Bundaran Senayan bus stop by carrying out a functional trial, following repairs after the demonstrations at the end of August.

"Passengers can now board and alight at Bundaran Senayan. The shelter is fully functional again," TransJakarta President Director Welfizon Yuza said in a written statement received here on Friday.

According to him, the Bundaran Senayan bus stop reopening supports the target set by Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung for all damaged bus stops to be operational within a week, including severely damaged ones.

TransJakarta serves over 1.3 million passengers daily and remains committed to providing optimal service. Yuza also called on the public to help protect and maintain public facilities.

He expressed gratitude for the support from the Jakarta Provincial Government and other relevant parties. He confirmed that bus passenger activities have returned to normal and urged continued cooperation through the #JagaJakarta or #KeepJakartaSafe campaign.

"The functional trial of Bundaran Senayan bus stop was completed in under seven days after the fire and damage. This reflects strong collaboration and enabled us to finish ahead of schedule," he said.

He apologized if services at the bus stop are not yet fully restored and announced upcoming trials for four other damaged stops: Senayan Bank DKI, Polda Metro Jaya, Senen Sentral, and Senen Toyota Rangga.

The Bundaran Senayan bus stop is now operational, serving Corridor 1 (Blok M–Kota), as well as routes 1F (Palmerah Station–Bundaran Senayan), 1W (Blok M–Ancol), 6M (Manggarai Station–Blok M), 6V (Ragunan–Senayan Bank DKI), 9C (Pinang Ranti–Bundaran Senayan), 10H (Tanjung Priok–Bundaran Senayan), and S61 (Alam Sutera–Blok M).
