Jakarta (ANTARA) - The World Muslim Scout Jamboree (WMSJ) 2025 Committee guarantees the safety and security of participants during the event, which will be held in Jakarta on September 9-14, 2025.

In a press conference in Jakarta on Friday, WMSJ Committee Chair Riza Azhari stated that the committee has collaborated with the Jakarta Provincial Government and security forces from the National Armed Forces (TNI) and the National Police (Polri) to ensure the security of the event.

"We have been preparing intensively and thoroughly for the event for over 24 months. With thorough preparation, we are ready to welcome all participants from around the world to learn and gain new experiences in scouting," he said.

Azhari emphasized that the event will also convey a message of peace to Indonesia and the world through education and scouting, framed within the five-day WMSJ 2025 agenda at the Cibubur Campground in Jakarta.

"Our message of peace will be framed in a series of agendas under the motto 'We are Muslim, Civilized, United, and Peaceful.' This is our message to the world to continue promoting peace regardless of the conditions and circumstances," he said.

One of the messages of peace, Azhari explained, is the message of peace embodied in President Prabowo Subianto's Asta Cita, which embodies the value of peace for the world.

"This is a global movement that demonstrates the unity and brotherhood of Muslims through scouting character education," Azhari said.

On the same occasion, Deputy Speaker of the People's Consultative Assembly (MPR) Hidayat Nur Wahid also guaranteed that the WMSJ would proceed safely amidst the riots that had gripped the capital.

He stated that the national social situation has returned to normal, and people are returning to their normal activities, and the WMSJ event can proceed as planned.

"Hopefully, the WMSJ event can proceed as planned. We believe this event is a sign and symbol that Indonesia is doing well in the eyes of the world," Wahid said.

The 2025 WMSJ is expected to attract 15,333 participants, including 7,149 male participants, 6,349 female participants, and 1,718 mentors. The event is part of the 100th anniversary celebrations for the Darussalam Gontor Modern Islamic Boarding School.
