This figure reflects a 12.2 percent increase compared to the 2024 Harbolnas, which recorded Rp31.2 trillion (US$1.8 billion) in transactions.
“Out of last year’s Rp31 trillion transactions, more than 30 percent were domestic products. We hope this year’s figure will be higher, between Rp33 trillion and Rp35 trillion,” he remarked at the Road to Harbolnas 2025 press conference in Jakarta on Monday.
He emphasized that the event is expected to boost sales among micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) while strengthening the campaign to promote domestic products through e-commerce platforms.
“Indonesia’s economic pipeline must be strong. That pipeline begins with MSMEs, then infrastructure, and finally consumers who understand the importance of buying Indonesian products,” he stated.
Meanwhile, the Chairman of the Indonesian E-Commerce Association (idEA), Hilmi Adrianto, underlined that Harbolnas is more than just a discount festival, but a symbol of national digital economic transformation.
“Harbolnas has become a concrete manifestation of synergistic collaboration between various stakeholders—government, industry, and businesses—in driving the economy toward an inclusive and sustainable digital era,” he said.
To support this, idEA will hold a series of national roadshows from September to December 2025 to strengthen business actors’ capacity. Offline bazaars will also be organized to connect MSMEs directly with consumers and enhance trust in local products.
“In today’s highly competitive digital era, the challenges of the economy must be addressed collectively, including by e-commerce players who continue to innovate with technology, businesses, and most importantly, by increasing people’s purchasing power,” he explained.
The 2024 Harbolnas recorded Rp31.2 trillion (US$1.8 billion) in transactions, a 21.4 percent rise from Rp25.7 trillion (US$1.5 billion) in 2023.
Local product sales also surged 31 percent, from Rp12.3 trillion (US$726 million) in 2023 to Rp16.1 trillion (US$950 million) in 2024.
Harbolnas 2025 will be held from December 10 to 16, 2025.
